Estimates for information

Our calculators and guides help you work out hours, overtime and pay for planning and for checking your own records. Results depend on the information you enter and on rules — your employer's policy, a union contract, state and federal law — that we can't see. Your paycheck can differ because of taxes, deductions, bonuses, rounding or policies that the calculators don't model.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting or payroll advice. Employment laws differ between states and cities and change over time. For a question about your own pay, ask your employer's payroll or HR department, the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division or your state labor department.
